“Katie” is starting her second year as a post-doctoral fellow at the Carnegie Institution of Washington within the Department of Terrestrial Magnetism. She received her Ph.D. from Rice University in 2005 working with Adrian Lenardic and her B.S. from Texas A&M University in 2000. Though not a native, Katie has spent the majority of her life in Texas. Her primary research interests focus on large-scale geodynamics problems with emphasis on lithosphere/mantle interactions.
