Sofia Olhede graduated from Imperial College London in January 2003, with a PhD in mathematics entitled `Analysis via Time, Frequency and Scale of Nonstationary Signals'. She joined the Faculty of the Mathematics department in the autumn of 2002, and was promoted to senior lecturer in October 2006. Her primary research interest is the analysis of structured data, and she both develops new mathematical analysis tools, as well as statistical methodology. She has an interest in multidisciplinary projects, and has organised an EGU minisymposium on non-stationary analysis methods. Sofia serves on the research committee of the Royal Statistical Society since June 2005.
