Jesse Lawrence works on mantle transition zone structure with Peter Shearer at Scripps Institution of Oceanography. He received his PhD in seismology from Washington University in 2004. Jesse has worked on differential seismic attenuation with body waves for global and regional analyses. Much of his thesis involved seismically imaging the crust and upper mantle beneath the Transantarctic Mountains using various techniques.
