Jian Zhang is currently a Ph.D. candidate working with Professor Paul G. Richards at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University. His research has focused on seismological study of inner core motion, earthquake relocation, seismic wave synthetics, and earthquake/faulting physics. He received B.Sc. (1998) and M.Sc. (2001) in Geophysics at Peking University, China.
