Yang Shen is an Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Oceanography, University of Rhode Island. He holds a B.Sc degree from Nanjing University and a Ph.D in geophysics from Brown University. He was a postdoctoral researcher and then an assistant scientist at WHOI, before he joined URI in 1998.
