As for a biography, well, I got my bachelors from Carleton College, earned my PhD at Berkeley under Paul Renne and Rudy Wenk, and did a post-doc at the University of Cambridge before coming to the University of Minnesota to help run the Institute for Rock Magnetism. My favorite pastime is trying to persuade Adam Maloof to wear something other than red suspenders...
