Tree Cookie Analysis


Folder Cookie_Thumbnails contains high resolution .tif images for all 5 tree cookies, including the analyzed hemlock. ** FJS Kept this in TreeCookies. **

Folder Polygon_Ring_Traces contains four folders of Area, Data Processing, Hemlock_Traces, and Width.

	Hemlock_Traces contains the raw data from hand tracing the quadrants, in the .csv files labelled quadrant1, quadrant2, and quadrant3
	their corresponding MATLAB figures are also included in Hemlock_Trace_Quad1 and Hemlock_Trace_Quad2. 
	All traces done so far are shown on Hemlock_Trace_Whole. 
	Tracing is the script that allows for manual ring tracing using ginput 
	HemlockKxx is the original (x,y) origin coordinate selected that is called for within Tracing.m

	
	Data Processing contains the script data_processing that reads the data from the .csv files and outputs a corrected CenteredProcessedXY
	struct containing all the points with their origin corrected to (0,0).

	Area contains the script area used to generate the figures Annual_Growth_Area, Cumulative_Area_vs_Time, and Traced_Polygons.


	Width contains two scripts of arcs2azim which is Frederik's function for calculating the intersection of a transect with each ring. 
	width.m within the Width folder contains the script used to generate Avg_Width_Per_Year, Widths_Per_Ring, and Widths_Per_Degree. 
	Examples of the latter two with various input parameters for ring number and degrees are found in the respective folders. 

Folder Climate contains the raw climate data for Princeton New Jersey recorded from 1985 onwards. ** FJS Moved this to METEOBLUE. **
