Computer and some standard canisters for preparing mass spec calibration standards. The gas cannisters (left) contain high purity gas at a selected pressure. Aliquotting is done by equilibrating the gas with the volume between the two pneumatic valves at the top of the can. Gas mixtures are prepared by admitting the desired number of aliquots of each gas to a tube of the 10-tube multiport manifold immersed in liquid helium. The user can preprogram the number of aliquots of each gas for each of 10 different gas mixtures (computer screen to right). |
