: Troodos. GPS 46. A pyroxenite Visible amphiboles, 60-120 cleavage. Also enstatite, which are brown platelets with a "gold flash". MgSi03 endmember of the Opx family. We are now below the gabbros of the Madari Ridge, i.e. below the Moho in the mantle. Weathered to limonite and goethite, brownish appearance. All together these are peridotites. With olivine in it and pyroxenes these would be called harzburgite. All together sepentinized with green appearance in fibrous veins and surfaces.
